I’m on my way back

Wow, this has been a long flare up.  The last week I’ve been feeling a little better everyday.  I am reaching out to the fibro community online and it’s helped so much listening to all their stories.  There are plenty doing better than me but plenty doing worse.

During this time I managed to finish a sketchbook for myself and a blank journal for my mother’s birthday.  Thanks to the Bind It All.  They aren’t great art but they are functional and make the books quick to put together.

Hope to have something a little more substantial to share soon.

Now for a brief (I hope) intermission

Well, the fibro bug has chomped on me fierce….stupid thing.  So I’m out of commision for a while.  Hopefully not long.  I can only putter but it’s times like this that I do a lot of designing in my head.  Here’s what I’m coming up with:

A sketch after this photograph I saw.  It’s an areial view of a parking lot, circa 1960.  If I could explain what is cool about it, I would be a writer instead of a visual artist, ha ha.

A cloth project out of recycled materials.  Kevin found me these huge rolls of 4 inch wide muslin.  Maybe they were for curtain headers or something.  Anyway, I’ve gotten a vauge idea of how to put the together to make my own cloth as a basis for a piece.

And I have an idea for a flag book; the kind with three flags per page…with the middle going the opposite way from the top and bottom.  The book is viewed completely open and it looks like a cool puzzle to figure out.

There…now maybe I won’t forget my great ideas! LOL

Ta Da!

The books are done! By Thursday night I just wanted rid of them. I think I’ll be able to appreciate them more in a little bit. Right now, I’m going to publish the page I’ve been recording the process. It should come up as a link on the right hand side of the page under New Work- Take/Make One For The Team. One more day to go!

And of course I am freaked out that it’s not going to get done.  Nothing new there…  By Saturday, I’ll publish a page with the end of the process.

I guess I should print a retraction here. Obviously, I’m not photographing the fabric pieces and putting them up! All I can say for now is that I’m working on a top secret project that needs to be finished by this upcoming Friday. I will be putting photos up of this project after completion because it is a lot of work
